Job Description

Hands-on, assertive leader required by leading manufacturer to oversee a team of Warehouse staff. In addition, this cost focussed, deadline driven individual will also be required to:

Manage the Inventory

• Manage and plan the monthly inventory count
• Manage high level of stock control and stock management
• Ensure accurate receipting of goods and timeous issuing and distribution of raw materials and consumables to factory
• Manage the Warehouse in compliance with the company policies, procedures and the OHS Act
• Achieve optimum utilisation through the efficient management, coaching, training, and mentoring of staff.
• Continuously review and optimise operations to ensure goods are delivered to the correct departments on time and in full as per production requirements in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Proactively manage the Warehouse to ensure a controlled environment; accurate receipting of goods; timeous issuing and distribution of materials and consumables to the factory (thereby meeting the on-going demands of production); and the dispatch of goods to clients (OTIF).
• Supervise and continuously review the consolidated Warehouse department and processes to ensure that all activities are planned, co-ordinated and continuously improved to meet on-time and in-full delivery objectives.
• Ensure that the Warehouse and Forklift Driver safety standards
• Ensure that the Warehouse and Forklift housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Matric essential with related tertiary qualification (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Warehouse Manager
• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word essential
• Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP systems
