PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

THE ROLE OF THE DRIVER RECRUITMENT OFFICER IS TO MANAGE AND RECRUIT EXPERIENCED CROSS BORDER AND LOCAL TRUCK DRIVERS WILL BE RESPONSIBILE OF DRIVER PLACEMENTS, TESTING AND VETTING. TO ALSO SCREEN RESUMES AND PERFORM REFERENCE AND BACKGROUND CHECKS OF ALL TRUCK DRIVER APPLICANTS. ALSO ASSISTS WITH DAY TO DAY OPERATIONAL AND HR DUTIES.

Scope

RESUME EVALUATION – SCREENING OF RESUMES TO ENSURE THAT CANDIDATES MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN LINE WITH COMPANY AND CLIENT STANDARDS AND POLICIES AND WITHIN THE TRANSPORT REGULATION RULES. CONTACTING OF REFERENCES AND COMPLETION RELEVANT DOCUMENTS.

DRIVER VERIFICATIONS (3RD PARTIES VERIFICATION AND RP DRIVER) – TO VERIFY DRIVER INFORMATION GATHERED FROM FOREIGN NATIONALITIES. THIS INCLUDES THE TRANSPORT QUALIFICATIONS, SUCH AS INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMITS, DEFENSIVE DRIVING PERMITS, PASSPORTS AND LICENSES.

CONTACTING OF DRIVERS – THE COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY OF COMMUNICATING WITH TRUCK DRIVER APPLICANTS. THIS ENTITLES PHONE CALLS, MESSAGES AND REGULAR FEEDBACK ON QUERIES.

ADMINISTRATION – DOCUMENTS GATHERED BY THE DRIVERS SHOULD BE ADMINISTERED, FILED AND CAPTURED IN THE SYSTEM. THESE FILES SHOULD BE CARED FOR AT ALL TIMES AND NEVER BE MISPLACED. ADMINISTRATION THROUGHOUT ALL DEPARTMENTS SHOULD BE MANGED AND CHECKED THAT IT CORRESPONDS TO NORMAL PRACTICES ACCORDING TO PROCESSES WRITTEN BY MANAGEMENT.

MAKING USE OF CHECKLISTS ON DRIVER DOCUMENTATIONS IN DRIVER FILE PACKS CREATED.

DRIVER PLACEMENT – THE RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS SECTOR BY THE EMPLOYEE CONSISTS OF THE SHORTLISTING AND EXPECTED DRIVER ABILITIES INQUIRED BY THE CLIENT.

FURTHERMORE, TO SCRUTINIZE VETTED AND VALIDATED PLACEMENTS BEFORE ANY DRIVER IS PLACED ON A TRUCK. TO ALSO ENSURE THAT THE DRIVERS CORRESPONDS TO ROUTES AND REGULATIONS INSTRUCTED BY CLIENTS AND MANAGEMENT.

DRIVER ASSESSMENTS – THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS SHOULD HOST WRITTEN TESTS IN THE TRAINING DEPARTMENT, AND MARK TESTS WRITTEN BY DRIVERS.

THE EMPLOYEE SHOULD CHECK THE CONSENT FORMS AND POLYGRAPHS COMPLETED BEFORE THE ROAD TEST HOSTED BY THE ASSESSOR IN CHARGE.

FILES NEED TO BE CHECKED DURING AND AFTER THE ROAD TEST COMPLETED, AND CHECK IF ALL REQUIREMENTS ARE MET THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS.

HR ONBOARDING OF NEW DRIVERS – HR AND ONBOARDING DUTIES OF NEWLY RECRUITED DRIVERS, ENSURING CONTRACTS ARE SIGNED AND FILES ARE COMPLETE.
