Job Description
Main Purpose of the job:
- We are looking for Facilities Managers with Key Accounts/Business Development experience to join our talent pool to:
- manage all aspects of the site services including maintenance on building, equipment, roadways, vehicle fleet;
- ensure high levels of client satisfaction and excellent financial performance through the management and development of the site team and great operational standards.
Required Education and experience:
- Relevant degree/diploma or equivalent (essential)
- Engineering Degree will be an advantage
- At least 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management Environment
- Experienced and comfortable with industry-standard laws and regulation
- 1-3 years’ experience in managing key client accounts in facilities management
- Driver’s Licence
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Knowledge of the Integrated Facilities Management profession
- Knowledge of South African and industry-specific laws
- Sales focused negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Ability to produce technical and business reports
- Ability to work independently
- Customer focused approach, commercial acumen and the ability to understand and anticipate business needs
- Technologically savvy
Key areas of responsibility:
- Identify business opportunities and build solid and sustainable relationships with clients
- People leadership i.e. workforce planning/staff scheduling in line with anticipated business needs, recruitment, employee relations, performance management and talent management.
- Financial Acumen: Cost Management and Profitability Analysis
- Commercial Acumen: Analyse and process new information quickly to derive client solutions
- Risk Management: Identifies abnormalities that suggest investigation, mitigates and reports risks up the line
- Ensure compliance to relevant legislation and HSE and codes of good practice
- Support transitions and manage projects
- Suggests new effective and efficient ways of doing own work while reducing risks on client sites
