Job Description

Main Purpose of the job:

  • We are looking for Facilities Managers with Key Accounts/Business Development experience to join our talent pool to:
  • manage all aspects of the site services including maintenance on building, equipment, roadways, vehicle fleet;
  • ensure high levels of client satisfaction and excellent financial performance through the management and development of the site team and great operational standards.

Required Education and experience:

  • Relevant degree/diploma or equivalent (essential)
  • Engineering Degree will be an advantage
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management Environment
  • Experienced and comfortable with industry-standard laws and regulation
  • 1-3 years’ experience in managing key client accounts in facilities management
  • Driver’s Licence

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Integrated Facilities Management profession
  • Knowledge of South African and industry-specific laws
  • Sales focused negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to produce technical and business reports
  • Ability to work independently
  • Customer focused approach, commercial acumen and the ability to understand and anticipate business needs
  • Technologically savvy

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Identify business opportunities and build solid and sustainable relationships with clients
  • People leadership i.e. workforce planning/staff scheduling in line with anticipated business needs, recruitment, employee relations, performance management and talent management.
  • Financial Acumen: Cost Management and Profitability Analysis
  • Commercial Acumen: Analyse and process new information quickly to derive client solutions
  • Risk Management: Identifies abnormalities that suggest investigation, mitigates and reports risks up the line
  • Ensure compliance to relevant legislation and HSE and codes of good practice
  • Support transitions and manage projects
  • Suggests new effective and efficient ways of doing own work while reducing risks on client sites
