The animal attendant’s role is to provide a high standard of care for the dogs and maintain a clean and orderly kennel environment. The position requires someone who loves working with animals, and can demonstrate their ability to control and care for all dogs from Chihuahuas to Great Danes.
General kennel work involves a lot of cleaning, bathing and laundry.
The successful applicant must be quick on their feet and be able to identify and complete everyday tasks independently. We require someone with a very good work ethic and the ability to learn quickly with on the job training.
Skills
- Be fit enough to be on the move all day!
- Able to Read, Write and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20kg.
- Attention to detail required to recognize any health or behavioral issues among our dogs.
- You must love animals!
